The goggle cake is a creature made entirely of baked and confectionary goods, such as dough and pastries, with layers upon layers of sweet and deliciously scented fillings and decorations. It is also capable of consuming and absorbing additional baked items, thus enlarging and expanding its body. The goggle cake's appetite appears limitless, as it is always seeking out new food to consume and add to its mass. Goggle cakes are known to possess a sweet and delicious fragrance that can lure in unsuspecting victims. In the process, the savory aromas confuse its opponents' senses. Luckily, it sometimes loses sight of its goal despite its big goggle eyes. As the saying goes, the goggle cake may have originated from a magically-enhanced cake experiment gone awry. There once was a powerful magical bakery where various cakes, pastries, and other sweets were produced. The truffle baker was experimenting with powerful arcane magic to create a cake that could bring joy and delight to anyone who ate it. However, the experiment unexpectedly produced a monster made entirely of cake. The beast then escaped and began rampaging through the region, hunting down and eating more sweets and desserts. When it reached a certain size, it split into two cakes, which in turn set off in search of food. There are now quite a few cake monsters on the move in Candia.
