The bluebeaks are a symbol of the power of change. They were once normal camels, but for some unknown reason, their appearance changed: they grew blue fur, a bird's beak instead of a snout, and two huge ears grew out of their backs, allowing them to hear even the slightest whisper in the desert. Some stories say that their destiny is to carry lost travelers on their backs who roam the deserts of Tibia without destination or hope. Others believe that they guard a portal to another dimension. In all stories, bluebeaks have the ability to heal themselves and possess ice and frost magic. There is a specific reason why desert creatures have mastered this type of magic: it allows them to cool down the travelers they help through the sand dunes, protecting them from overheating and burns from the relentless gaze of Suon and Fafnar.
